My first thought was also that the leaf was stuck behind another one – but then the entire edge would surely have been black as well. The outer edge is white, and only then do the quite fine and sharp 'fringes' appear.
On closer inspection, you can also see small white bubbles.
It was a fairly new pack; here’s the label. The leaf was somewhere right in the middle.
