Jochen Rohner knows all the finer points and tricks of the darkroom process for producing a perfect analogue photographic print on baryta paper.
<div style="margin:0px 0px 20px;">He hasn’t gained his knowledge from books, but has tried everything out for himself – and has been doing so for over 30 years. It began with a darkroom in Aachen, and his passion for the finest black-and-white prints led him to Berlin. His client list reads like a ‘who’s who’ of international photographic art.
In this talk, he will explain the process of hand-printing on analogue baryta paper to the highest standards.
Jochen Rohner will uncover and eliminate the often-unknown sources of problems in the analogue process. He will present this knowledge, acquired over decades, using practical examples in his darkroom on Ackerstraße, finally shedding light on the mysteries of analogue photography. He will also be able to address examples provided by the participants. A unique opportunity for anyone wishing to benefit first-hand from the tips and tricks of one of the few masters of this craft.
For a maximum of 8 participants.
