That’s right, there’s plenty of information on development times – just none specifically for Fomapan 400 and ILFORD Perceptol 1+1 dilution.

My comment was also referring to Xtol. I haven’t found anything myself regarding Fomapan 400 and Perceptol 1+1; otherwise, I would have let you know.

I just had an exposure to a Fomapan 100 at 100 ASA over the weekend and developed it in Perceptol, resulting in a perfectly detailed negative!

I’m happy to believe you, of course! Did you develop it in the stock solution or with a dilution? As far as I know (though others certainly know more about this than I do), the reduction in sensitivity is all the smaller the more you dilute Perceptol. However, the granularity also increases.

Furthermore, it naturally also depends on how you expose, how precise your camera’s shutter speeds are, and so on. Of course, the subject matter also plays a role. If, for example, the subjects were low-contrast, such as a landscape under overcast skies, the shadow detail will suffer less.
