Hello everyone,
I’ve bought a few rolls of ILFORD Super 400 black-and-white
film here from our host, just to give it a go. The negatives have standard C41 developability at commercial labs.
Here are my questions:
1. What is the practical experience with large-scale lab development in terms of the quality of the negatives? 2. I use ILFORD Perceptol developer. What is the developability of this film in Perceptol? If so, what are the developer ratios and the agitation and development times?
Thank you for any advice.

Do you mean XP-2 when you say "Super"?
A C-41 film should also be developed using the C-41 process.
Its development should be carried out using Perceptol, which would be a last resort.

Hello,
Thanks, Mirko, for the info!
It’s an ILFORD XP Super 400 from our host’s collection.
Has anyone else used this film? How do the results turn out when developed in a commercial lab?
Urnes
No problem. The film is developed as colour film using the C-41 process. You can have this done at any minilab worldwide. The process is standardised. However, if you order prints from a large-scale lab, you’ll receive sepia-toned prints, as they’re printed on colour paper.
Best regards, Sven.
