Hello, Unfortunately, I’m having a problem with my Seagull. The shutter release starts to stick at 1/30 s. I’ve already tried a few drops of WD40. It worked at first, but now it’s sticking again. I reckon I used the wrong oil. Does anyone know of a suitable oil that would work for this and doesn’t cause the mechanism to seize up? Kind regards

Hey Blutengel, I had a quick Google and came across this page. It basically describes the ‘grand tour’ of the shutter mechanism. http://www.hof-bleckeder-moor.de/fotomuseum/seagull-reparatur.htm It also mentions the oil. But there’s nothing like that at FOTOIMPEX. I’ve bought myself a “range of lubricants”. Micro-Tools has a decent selection. Good luck Gert

Hi Thanks, that’s exactly what I was looking for. But unfortunately, I couldn’t find it. Sometimes I just don’t understand Google. When I search for something on my computer and then do the same on my parents’ computer, I often get different results. Google seems to be rather temperamental
