A photogram is a technique in which objects are placed on light-sensitive paper, which is then subjected to exposure. Man Ray and Christian Schad experimented with this at the beginning of the last century, calling it rayography or schadography. Jochen Rohner continues this tradition by creating extreme enlargements using his ‘blow-up’ method. In the workshop, he will introduce participants to darkroom work, show examples of photograms and be on hand to assist with individual experiments. In his large-format printing lab in Berlin-Mitte, each participant will have their own analogue workstation and will be able to take their results home at the end.
