I wanted to mix some ID-11 today. When I opened the box, the Part B sachet was bulging out like a balloon. What could be causing this? The box had been stored at room temperature in a cupboard for about two years; in a second box, the Part B bag was also inflated, whilst in a third box, the bag was flat as expected.

I would develop the film as normal and carry out a test using a piece of exposed film. Part B usually contains the developers, so a degree of caution is advised if you suspect the packaging may be damaged.
