PhotoWerkBerlin
The Wetplate Weekend introduces us to the wonderful world of wet plate photography, also known as ambrotype. David Puntel will demonstrate the technique at Berlin’s only Skylight Studio, set amidst a garden. Working with natural light not only produces more pleasing tonal ranges, but also allows us to master the practical challenges of exposure control. We will learn all the steps of the wet plate technique, working with various cameras, different formats (4x5"/5x7"/8x10") and historic lenses, with which we will capture our impressions on unique ambrotypes.
This intensive course is also suitable for beginners with no prior photographic experience and is limited to 3 participants. Drinks and all materials required to produce approx. 10 wet plates, which we can take home with us, are included in the price.
