TiMo
Hello everyone,
I’m getting a 110 camera soon and, as I like all film formats, I’ll obviously have to give this one a go too.
Currently, there’s the Lomo 110 Orca film (

).
Does anyone know what’s in it?
Cheers, Tim

I think I read somewhere that it contains Orwo or Filmotec.
Best wishes from Daniel, who’s still waiting to be able to buy Filmotec emulsions in standard 35mm cassettes *sigh*

Hi TiMo,
I’d like to echo Photux’s comment, adding that it’s UN 54 if the rumours are true.
After all, Lomos also sell the TC 27 under the Orwo label.
As for KB Rodinal 1:50 for 9.5 mins or Acurol N 1:70 for 17 mins at around 20 degrees (I use exactly 20 degrees, but I’m not sure if my thermometer is accurate)

Right then. Thanks!

@Photux
Isn't there an N 74 plus in the Bergger films?
?

Hi TiMo,
We don’t know for sure, but it seems likely that the Bergger is from Filmotec and is an N 74 Plus, as Bergger is the general importer for Filmotec in France.
By the way, the N 74 Plus is a lovely little film, but unfortunately it’s only available in 35mm. (I do hope that changes, though)

I develop in Rodinal 1:50 for 13 minutes at what my thermometer reads as 20 degrees.

I’ve just finished a comparison test, but haven’t properly analysed the results yet. (I was out and about with 14°C 35mm cameras) The candidates were CHS 100 (one old and one new), Filmotec UN 54, Filmotec N74 Plus, Silvermax in its own developer and Silvermax in Rodinal, Scala at 100 ASA, developed alongside Silvermax in its own developer, Agfa APX 100 (old) and Agfa APX 100 (new), ORWO (GDR) NP 20 (frozen stock) and Adox CMS 20, (which was also quite usable for night shots)
ADOX CHS 100 new and Filmotec UN54 in Acurol. And, just for fun, a Wittnerchrome 200, aka Avichrome. (That one hasn’t been developed yet)
At first glance, the UN 54 and the new CHS 100 are very similar. In Rodinal as well as Acurol N. As soon as I have time, I’ll analyse them in detail.

Hi Achim,
I was planning to try out the N74+. Thanks for the development tip!
If it were available in 120 format, that would be brilliant. I’m currently looking for a 400 film, and as I’m reluctant to use Ilford and ADOX unfortunately doesn’t produce one, Kodak is my only option at the moment. It’s brilliant, but what the future holds for them is anyone’s guess.
