Hello everyone,
True to the saying, "If you measure too much, you'll end up with a load of rubbish!", I've now adopted this approach.
I’ve been trying to test Kodak Tmax 400 for a few days now, and after developing the negatives, I’m only getting strange and far too high densities. I swapped the camera, adjusted the process, and then realised that my densitometer goes haywire from lgD 1.0 onwards.
My question:
Does anyone have a decent, calibrated transilluminator and would be kind enough to measure a set of 35mm negatives for me?
That way I’d have a set of negatives with values of +- 0.02 and could use these as a reference to repair, check and calibrate my device – or just chuck it in the bin?

I have a few small glass plates with densities ranging from 0.1 to 0.8, which are also accurately displayed by the densitometer, but when I stack them on top of each other, the readings are completely off due to stray light entering from the sides and light refraction between the plates.
Best regards, Oliver
