I’m currently looking for information on infrared continuous-action dryers to kit out a student photography lab. As well as the possibility of picking something up on eBay, I’d also like to have a look at the manufacturers’ websites. Either I’m being a bit clumsy, or there are no longer any manufacturers producing photographic IR continuous-action dryers.

Does anyone know of a manufacturer that still produces them?

Hi Florek,
I’m afraid you’ll probably have to look on eBay for that. When buying second-hand, you should pay particular attention to the condition of the foam rollers. And you should clean the transport rollers, otherwise you’ll end up with streaks.
Look for Kindermann or Jobo.

Thanks for the info. That matches up with what I’ve found in my research. In principle, there’s no reason not to use eBay.

Does anyone know of any other retailers who sell at least spare parts for ROWI or Kindermann (foam and transport rollers)? Because on eBay, of course, everything’s listed as ‘like new’ :-)

Hmm, yes, it’s all as good as new... but it really was mine. It often helps to ask for detailed photos; otherwise, just don’t bid, even if it’s hard to resist.
I don’t know anyone who still sells these spare parts, but Kindermann, for example, is still around – they won’t say no if you ask them.
