3D printing really is a fascinating technology.
Personally, I see potential for the future (from a photographer’s perspective) primarily in the production of spare parts for older, existing cameras.
This would allow at least certain spare parts to be produced as one-offs or in small batches at a reasonable cost.
Spare parts that are no longer available from the manufacturer.
This could breathe new life into many a ‘old gem’.
And certainly into many a gem that isn’t even that old yet: with Zenza Bronica, for example, we are unfortunately already seeing shortages in the supply of spare parts for some models.
