Hello! ? ? Can the specifications given in the Kodak Microdol-X datasheet be applied directly to Moersch EFG 1:1? The minimum amount of developer per film required for a 1+3 dilution is causing me a bit of a headache due to the size of my tanks. Ilford specifies a minimum volume of 200 ml for Perceptol, whereas Kodak wasn’t quite so strict about this. What is the minimum volume for EFG? ? ? Best regards! ?

[size=medium][font=calibri]I don’t have a direct comparison with Microdol-X; however, I was able to use the same processing times for its near-twin, Perceptol, without any noticeable impact on the result. [/size] ? [size=medium][font=calibri]At a dilution of 1:3, the processing times become annoyingly long. I therefore work with a 1:1 ratio at 24 °C. The minimum volume issue doesn’t even arise with a 500-cm³ container. [/size] ? [size=medium][font=calibri]Perceptol/EFG is my favourite, the one I always seem to come back to: with fine grain without any adverse effect on sharpness. It also works excellently with flat-crystal films in particular. With these, the loss of sensitivity that is otherwise typical of this type of developer is minimal or even non-existent. At the same time, the tonal gradation (especially with Ilford Delta) is very beautiful right up into the highlights. Even Foma 200 (with an exposure of 100 ASA, though it doesn’t have the printed 200 anyway) performs to unexpected heights with it. [/size] ? [size=medium][font=calibri]Thanks to its 2-litre and 5-litre packaging and simple packaging, EFG is also comparatively inexpensive. I would consider it a valuable addition to the FOTOIMPEX range.
