The Labtime Mini is here. A compact lab timer for film or photographic paper development.
We’ve fitted it with non-slip feet on the back so you can operate it with one hand (while the photographic paper is dripping from the other).
The Labtime can stop the time or count down from a preset time.
It can remember the preset time, so you can run it over and over again (e.g. 2 minutes of paper development in the tray).
But the most compelling argument is surely the price: €5.99!

[size=0]Universal timer for a wide range of tasks in chemistry and photography laboratories. The ADOX LABTIME MINI can count both forwards and backwards. You can therefore choose to measure the time remaining until an event occurs (COUNT-UP) or run a preset time (TIMER) and then stop or measure a process when the time is up. With the TIMER function, the preset time can be saved so that the countdown can be repeated as often as required. This requires three button presses: STOP (stops the previous countdown), MEMORY (resets to the preset time) and START to stop the new process. There are 4 rubber feet on the back of the LABTIME MINI, so this key combination can be performed with one hand when the LABTIME MINI is placed on a stable surface. In the photo lab, you can use the LABTIME MINI for the following tasks, for example: Exposure control without a timer (TIMER function, e.g. 30 sec. Use MEMORY to save the last time) Keep paper development time constant (TIMER function, e.g. 2-minute countdown, repeat as required using MEMORY) Film development (TIMER function, e.g. 7:30-minute countdown without repeat) Stop rinsing time (COUNT-UP stopwatch function) Set an alarm for when the last print should be placed in the rinse bath (set the Alarm function 30 minutes before the planned end of the lab session). Operation: On the right-hand side, the three functions can be selected via the main selector switch: Time: 0 to 12 o’clock with AM and PM display Stopwatch: START to 9:59:59 (H:MM:SS), STOP, CLEAR Timer (Countdown): The set time counts down, then an alarm sounds, ‘TIME’S UP’ is shown on the display and the timer continues to count up until STOP is pressed (so you know how long you’ve been overdeveloping if making coffee in the kitchen has taken too long). Pause with STOP. With MEMORY, you can reset to the original time to repeat the countdown as often as you like (e.g. to stop the paper development time every 2 minutes). All three functions can be run simultaneously. So whilst you’re looking at the clock, the stopwatch and, if applicable, a countdown are running in the background. By switching the main switch, you can then access the relevant project. The display shows which functions are currently active (TIMER, COUNTUP, MEMORY). The ADOTIME is recommended by practising psychologists as it features a ‘nerve-saving’ button. A small slide switch is fitted on the back, which breaks the connection to the beeper. This allows you to stop the development time without constant beeping. The elapse of time during the TIMER function is also indicated visually. ‘TIME’S UP’ flashes on the display.
