A question for Mirko, who’s probably the most likely (and one of the first) to know: Is it true that Fuji is now also discontinuing the production of transparency film? Rumours to that effect are circulating online. It would be very bitter news, as in my view the difference between analogue and digital in terms of visual expression is even more apparent on transparency film than on negative film (which is why I prefer to shoot in colour on transparency film).

They wouldn’t have launched new packs a month or two ago if they were now going to scrap the films. Some varieties have been discontinued, but this has been known for some time and has already been implemented. No credible sources have mentioned a complete halt to production (or, to be precise, a halt to packaging; no one can say whether or what will still be produced, though we should hope so).
