As DHL has already raised its prices four times without us passing on these costs, we are now forced to pass on part of the cost following this latest, drastic increase. We still have many products in our range (e.g. films, Instax, PE photo paper) which are sold at no profit margin at all, or at least at a loss before postage and packaging (must be). If we then also have to subsidise the postage, it simply no longer makes sense – especially for small quantities.
The situation is similar with our competitors, which is why they have also passed on the new DHL prices in recent weeks.
However, we are still striving to offer the most attractive overall deal, so we are lowering the free postage threshold to €70 with immediate effect.
""Give and take" (even if in this case it’s DHL taking and not us). If you buy a little more and, where possible, add something else to your basket alongside the films, we’ll give a portion of our profit back to you and waive the postage costs.
