Fomabrom Variant IV: new emulsion?

Hello, Since the start of the year, the FOTOIMPEX shop has been stocking a new Foma baryta paper, the Fomabrom Variant IV semi-matt: http://www.fotoimpex...n-variabel.html As I’ve been waiting in vain for a more detailed description of this paper’s properties, I thought I’d just ask the question here. Does anyone know any more about it? Has anyone tried this paper yet, and how does it differ from Fomabrom 111 or 112 (apart from the finish, of course...)? Many thanks! Morte

I’ve already tried this paper; it’s identical to Rollei Vintage 128. You can find plenty of sample images under that name on Mr Moersch’s website. It has a slightly cream-coloured base and a lovely silk-matt finish. I can’t say whether it differs from the other Fomabrom, as I’ve only used Fomatone from Foma so far. The image tone is neutral with Moersch SE6, and slightly warm-toned with Neutol WA. When developed directly, it shows very strong grain and subdued colour.

Ah, that’s a good starting point. Thanks. Mr Moersch’s sample images aren’t helpful to me, as he goes overboard with colour effects for my taste – lith printing, toning, bleaching, and so on. I only use the classic development method. You’re unlikely to find any neutral sample images there.
