How long does the concentrate for developing accelerators actually keep? I use Lavaquick in negative processing and have now noticed crystal-like deposits in the concentrate. The opened bottle must be several years old, though – assuming a yield of 20 films per litre of working solution (1+20) – a litre of concentrate will last a photographer a good part of their career. My question is accompanied by a product suggestion for FOTOIMPEX – a washing accelerator in a smaller pack size, e.g. 250 ml. Regards tepe

Hello Tepe, At what temperature was the LavaQuick stored? The overflow could also be due to storage at too low a temperature. Warming it up would restore it to its original state. We are actually currently working on our own product based on the Agfa formula. Our processing instructions will be designed so that you add approx. 5 ml to the wash water and then dispose of the whole lot. So there’s no need to prepare and store a stock solution. We will gradually produce different container sizes for all products. Acetic acid was the first (500, 1000, 5000 ml). These options are now available now that we have our own production facility. Hello Mirko, Thank you for letting me know that the concentrate is apparently not spoiled, but that the particles simply dissolve again when heated, without affecting the product’s effectiveness. It’s also nice to hear that work is already underway to fulfil a request before it has even been made. Best regards, Thomas
