Opening on 12 February – The 28th International Chelsea Art Competition is an excellent opportunity to get to know the New York art scene. Visual artists from all over the world aged 18 or over are eligible to enter. All media are accepted, with the exception of video art, film, performing arts, jewellery and crafts.
The prizes have been specifically selected to support artists in their work and raise their profile. These include: an exhibition in a Chelsea art gallery; cash prizes; an artist profile published in the contemporary art magazine ARTisSpectrum; and promotion in the online gallery ARTmine.
The entry fee is US$35 for up to 5 images and US$5 for each additional image. The judge for the 2013 competition is the renowned writer, journalist and art critic Anthony Haden-Guest.
The competition closes on 19 March 2013, so please select your images! Don’t forget to use only high-quality images, as this will allow the judge to get the best impression of your work.
