Does anyone know the development times for

Hello Davor. Generally speaking, the speed of a film cannot be ‘increased’ by a developer. Only Microphen is capable, to put it simply, of ‘getting more out’ of the latent image. ‘Pushing’ simply means boosting the mid-tones and highlights, or increasing the contrast. Your shadows will usually have little or no detail.

"The speed of black-and-white films can be utilised to a greater extent by extending the development time by 2–3 f-stops. However, the following should be noted:
The extended development time primarily results in higher contrast and granularity. The achievable sensitivity utilisation depends largely on the subject contrast. It is therefore important that all parameters (contrast, granularity and speed) are optimally balanced as far as possible, i.e. the speed utilisation should

This applies not only to Microphen, but to all phenidone-based developers (phenidone and its derivatives). Gain of approx. 1/3 stop.

My completely unscientific experience is that the 25-speed film worked well with an ISO of 40 and the 50-speed film with an ISO of 80 during exposure. I mainly used A49 and D-76 as developers, but HC-110 worked as well.
(This refers to the last batches, which still had the coloured backing.)

...I just don't see the point in pushing a 25 or 50 if I can simply buy a 50 or 100... The film manufacturers must surely have had a reason for selling film in a particular speed range.
You can look at it any way you like – ‘pushing without regret’ is like ‘losing weight without starving’... ;-)

The latter is possible. After a few weeks of a strict diet, you’re no longer hungry because your body has long since switched to burning fat for energy.
But working out hard without losing muscle mass is an illusion.
