Even the best enlargers break down from time to time Kaiser is still around, so you should be able to get parts, at least for the newer models. You can still find quite a few Meopta parts at FOTOIMPEX. Dunco’s successor has gone out of business, so who knows about spare parts now... If anyone knows anything. There’s always eBay, but that’s a bit of a gamble. Then there’s Kienzle. They have spare parts for almost every enlarger. I’ve had my Kienzle Primos 69 S refurbished there, but they also do Leitz, Durst and so on. It’s not cheap, but bespoke engineering work does cost money. Sometimes there’s even something new on offer there, like a new condenser for the Leitz V 35 – that light-shy little fellow – to let in more light. But I suppose you could also have your existing one modified. Then there’s a 35mm condenser for the 69 S for better, more even illumination. I’m sure there are plenty of skilled DIYers here too, but unfortunately I don’t have a lathe to remake a worn adjustment screw. So the only option was to order/buy from Kienzle.
