As far as customs duties are concerned, film from the UK faces, at most, the same treatment that film from Japan has always received. And the unpleasant price rises seen in recent years from Ilford and Fuji are not down to customs duties, but to the manufacturers themselves.

In the country of origin itself, the price rises weren’t all that bad. When it comes to prices here, the exchange rate is also a factor, and at the moment it looks significantly better for buyers from the eurozone than it did before the referendum.
