mamiya7 This whole business with the Efke factory is confusing me. Were the ADOX papers also manufactured there, and are they therefore being scrapped? Or were they made elsewhere and aren’t affected by the production halt? All this ‘manufactured there, labelled here and relabelled’… I just can’t make head nor tail of it. Could someone please shed some light on this and list which products have actually been discontinued and which haven’t? Many thanks. Apart from that, there can’t be much of a future for the old Efke films anyway. :-( Or are there worthy successors that I’ve simply missed?
TiMo The CHS films are therefore no longer available. By paper, I mean the Vario Classic and Nuance. But even before Fotokemika’s inglorious demise, these had already been marked as ‘discontinued’ and were intended to be replaced by MCC. I think ADOX will offer more than adequate replacements for both films and paper.
mamiya7 Thanks! That’s a bit of a relief. Let’s hope we don’t end up with just the flat crystal films. But that there’ll still be a few ‘old’ films where we can experiment a bit using the old pyro recipes.

mamiya7 Yes, that would be lovely! I reckon the people who use the CHS as large sheet film plates for their platinum, carbon and other prints using pyro processing would otherwise be at their wits’ end.
