I was just about to place an order in the shop and add a few rolls of Fuji Pro 400 H to my basket. But I noticed that there were no films listed in the online shop at all – neither colour nor black-and-white. Are they really all sold out, or is it just a glitch?

I've just signed up: loads of films in stock.

Lately, I’ve often seen the message
"
The item or category you’re looking for
is no longer in the product database."
when I click on a category.
At the time of posting this, it’s happening with the black-and-white films category.
It’s become a matter of luck whether you can get your order together. If you use the search function, you can find the films, though. Still, this bug is very annoying.

That's odd, everything works fine for me.
Which browser are the two people having problems with using?

It often works, but sometimes it doesn’t. I don’t think it’s down to the browser. If it were, the error would be reproducible.
I use Opera on Linux. But it didn’t work with Firefox either.

My contribution to the list of errors:
1. CMS 20 without a signature is listed as available in the shop, but as sold out in the product description. Which is correct?
2. The system does not accept billing addresses abroad if the delivery address in Germany is different.
3. If I (since the ‘Country’ field is preset to ‘Germany’ and cannot be changed) enter the country code in the ‘Postcode’ field instead, the system sends an error message and promises to highlight the incorrect field. But it doesn’t.
4. If I then enter my foreign (four-digit) postcode, it is accepted, even though “Country” remains set to “Germany”, and it cannot possibly be a valid German postcode.
5. Under “Billing address”, the order is surname-first name, whereas under “Delivery address” it is first name-surname. This should be consistent to avoid confusion.
6. Strictly speaking, according to the wording of the instructions, the password is only required for new customers and for future use. However, it apparently works for existing customers as well. The misleading formulation should be revised.

I’ve given up trying to update my address in my profile. It just doesn’t work. About three years ago, I was told that the relevant technician was on holiday. There might need to be some work done on the Impex logistics system.

I’ve just managed to reproduce the error again. Before logging into the shop, I was able to view the films, but not afterwards. I can only see the first four subcategories, and when I click on ‘Colour Negative Films’, for example, I just get the message ‘The item or category you are looking for
is no longer in the product database.’
I’m using the latest version of Firefox (14.0.1)

I’ve given up trying to update my address in my profile. It just doesn’t work. About three years ago, I was told that the technician responsible was on holiday. They said some work might need to be done on the Impex logistics system.
Well, I suppose the holiday was actually something else entirely; in any case, the gentleman was never seen again.
After a long struggle, we eventually tracked down his boss (from his loose network).
He’s helping us now.
So we’ve sorted that out in the meantime ;-)
However, we have to change everything manually because the shop can’t do it, and we’re constantly lagging behind.
It’ll stay that way.
Everything else should sort itself out with the launch of the new shop.
That category thing when logging in is really daft. He should sort that out beforehand.
I’ve learnt one thing: I really must shop in the shop myself more often ;-)
That’ll generate some turnover too :D

The only thing I couldn’t quite understand was the note about the unsigned CMS 20 films.
In any case, they haven’t sold out yet.

Ha! Now I've spotted it :-)

I’ve managed to reproduce the error to some extent:
When I add something to my basket, I can no longer access the B&W Films category. If I clear my basket, it works again. It’s very strange.

Another unsolicited suggestion for improving the redesign of the online shop:
As deliveries are made via DHL, the input form should also include fields for DHL Packstations (the customer’s postcode, and the number and location of the DHL Packstation).

Another unsolicited suggestion for improvement
There’s no such thing as an unsolicited suggestion for improvement :-)

While we’re on the subject: I’ve been trying to change my email address in my contact details for a year now.
I always get a reply saying that the details will be checked and then updated.
But so far, nothing has happened!
Otherwise, the online shop works perfectly for me!!
Kind regards,
Wolfgang
