Hello everyone,
I’d like to develop an IR 820 in Rodinal. Unfortunately, the development times I’ve found online vary quite a bit (9 minutes in a 1:25 Rodinal solution or 12 minutes in a 1:50 Rodinal solution). Can anyone help me out? Please also let me know how often I should agitate the tank. THANK YOU for your help!!
Best regards from Munich,
Steffen

Hi. It’s obvious that with a dilution ratio of 1:50, you need to develop for longer (though not necessarily twice as long) than with a 1:25 ratio. So the development times could well be correct.

Hi Steffen,
Have another look at the thread
‘Efke IR 820 Exposure’
Hi Steffen,
I’ve just come back from holiday and tested the Efke IR 820 whilst I was there. Good, consistent results with well-defined negatives using the following settings:
Sunshine
IR 715 filter
Exposure at 0 ASA / DIN
Handheld light meter on grey card and light metering
Rodinal 1+50, 20°C, 11 mins, agitation every 30 sec
3 ASA was too dark
6 ASA was far too bright
Best regards, Wolfgang
