Hi Mirko,
Are there any small sample packs available to try out? The size doesn't matter.
They’re in the pipeline in 8x10 inches.
The (cyano) emulsion therefore remains on top of the substrate and does not sink in. Consequently, the image should come out much more sharp than on uncoated copperplate paper, correct?
That’s the theory, at least. It should work that way. The extent to which sharpness is actually affected in individual processes will need to be determined experimentally.
Processing would be the same as for normal baryta. Wash out the residual emulsion. Then rinse again? And off to the press?
Yes. Process it as the respective process requires. You don’t need to take Art Baryta into account. It dries like baryta paper.
Is 30x40 in the pipeline?
Yes, all sizes can be produced to order at short notice. We started with 8x10 so that our American partners have a chance to offer something in a timely manner.
Best regards,
Mirko
