I bought this super-wide-angle lens (cheaply) on eBay; it has been modified to fit the Mamiya M645 bayonet mount (by Hartblei).
The only fault is that one aperture blade is hanging loose and won’t move back up with the spring-loaded aperture lever. Someone must have tried to repair it; in doing so, they didn’t reassemble the lens correctly, so now the barrel and focus ring rotate independently of each other.
The latter will be a piece of cake, the former probably not.
- Who repairs this sort of thing? I asked Arax once, but got no reply – do they even still exist?
- Is it worth it? Optically and mechanically, the parts are top-notch; it’s actually a shame to use it as a paperweight.
Thanks for any tips!
I have one for the Pentacon Six / Kiev 60. With a Kiev 6C body that still works a bit, I think it cost 120
