The national fineartforum for analogue black-and-white photography focuses on the artistic quality and technical precision of the medium. Highlights include numerous workshops and talks with experienced speakers, as well as an exhibition on the theme of ‘Playing with Light and Shadow’ by Klaus-Peter Gnaß from Bielefeld, a photographer known nationally for his numerous exhibitions. A key focus this year is the extensive range of products from renowned manufacturers in the industry, including the chance to get hands-on and talk shop. There’s nothing to stop you from adding to your equipment or stocking up on consumables.

On the one hand, the fineartforum offers beginners the opportunity to gain a better understanding of analogue techniques through workshops on film development and enlargement. For experienced users of analogue techniques, there are advanced workshops, lectures, a chance to exchange expertise with visitors and speakers, and opportunities to present their work.
?
The event is organised by the specially founded non-profit association fineartforum e.V. and its dedicated team of volunteers. As always, visiting the forum and taking part in the workshops is free of charge. The forum aims to highlight the importance of analogue techniques for our cultural memory and to convey the joy and satisfaction of engaging with them. The classic black-and-white works on display and under discussion at the forum place particular emphasis on the craftsmanship and artistry involved. They can also be a great source of inspiration for those returning to the craft or trying it for the first time. The festival aims to encourage people to explore these techniques.
